Tiger Woods is a lucky guy.

The golf superstar's ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, and his girlfriend of more than a year, champion skier Lindsey Vonn, are not only cordial for the sake of maintaining appearances. They're actually quite "friendly," a source tells E! News.

Not that there was any reason to think that they didn't get along, but a new report claiming that the class-act blondes are besties called into question just how close they really are.

Nordegren and Vonn haven't been spotted spending any time together in public, but a source told Us Weekly that "Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time."

A rep for Vonn had no comment.

But grownups in relationships when kids are involved—Nordegren and Woods have two, 6-year-old daughter Sam and 5-year-old son Charlie—are always wise to just make it work.

In March 2013, not long after Vonn and Woods had gone public with their romance, Vonn waited in the car for him at one of his kids' soccer games while he watched the action with Nordegren—though that likely had far more to do with eager paparazzi than possible awkwardness.

Since then, Vonn has had more chances to bond with her boyfriend's kids, including last month at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (The picture included was taken at a sporting event, implying parental consent for Woods' children to be professionally photographed.)

Woods and Nordegren divorced in 2010 in the wake of a shocking cheating scandal that involved multiple women.

A source told the New York Post in July that Elin "really likes Lindsey and thinks she is a very good influence on Tiger...and she gets on well with their children."
