We were so excited to see January Jones at the Jimmy Choo event last night since we were robbed of a Betty appearance on Sunday's premiere of Mad Men. But January's modern makeup was worlds away from anything the former Mrs. Draper would have worn…

The 36-year-old blond stunner complemented her edgy all-black outfit with big bold brows, black-lined eyes, peachy cheeks and a show-stopping, bright reddish-orange glossy lip. Now that's what we call a statement lip!

We're so happy January ignored the masses and refused to sport a nude lip with her black outfit. The fashion-forward actress knew this look was just begging for a pop of color.

Try the Look: Start by prepping skin with a hydrating primer that has light diffusers to conceal pores and fine lines, like Eve Lom Flawless Radiance Primer.

Then, apply an oil-controlling foundation like Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup with either your fingertips or a foundation brush. Tip: Start by dotting on foundation at the center of your face (forehead, nose and chin) and blend outwards.

After applying concealer under eyes, tap it on the upper eye area to act as a primer. Follow with a bone or cream-colored matte powder eye shadow on the entire upper eye area.

Then, to make eyes appear larger, apply a matte taupe eye shadow like NYX Nude Matte Shadow in Bare My Soul with a small shading eye brush in the creases. Use a back-and-forth windshield wiper motion to create a crescent shape. Blend like crazy.

Next, use a longwearing black eyeliner pencil like Bare Minerals Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Absolute Black to create a line along your upper lash line, making the line thicker as you get towards the outer corners. Then, flick the pencil upwards towards the outer corners of your eyebrows. Follow with two to three coats of your favorite mascara.

You're going to want to copy Ms. Jones's bold brows, so grab an eyebrow pencil like Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in a color that matches your eyebrow color. Make small, hair-sized lines in the same direction your eyebrow hair grows and brush brows upwards with spindle to blend.

To get January's brightly-hued pucker, start by exfoliating lips with a sugar scrub or a dry toothbrush. DIY tip: Pour half a teaspoon of baking soda in the palm of your hand and slowly add drops of water and mix to create a paste. Exfoliate lips with paste.

Then, line and fill in lips with a neutral lip pencil. Follow with a longwearing liquid lip color in reddish orange, like Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Sherry.

This photo gave us a temporary January Jones fix. We're expecting the writers of Mad Men to step it up this Sunday and give us some tough-talking, chain-smoking Betty. The real question: will they make Betty fat again? We're fine with that; we just can't take brunette Betty. It made us about as uncomfortable as seeing Don hit on Neve Campbell on this past Sunday's episode.
