Miley Cyrus is on the mend.

After an "absolutely horrible reaction" to medication sent the pop star to the hospital Tuesday, forcing her to cancel her Bangerz show in both Kansas City and St. Louis, we now have an update on the singer's condition.

Prior to her show in Kansas City, Miley was forced to cancel her concert in Charlotte, N.C., earlier this month when she came down with the flu, and a tour source tells us that Miley simply had a really sudden reaction to the antibiotic meds she had been taking to combat her flu virus and felt "beyond woozy."

In the two shows prior to Kansas City—Columbus and Detroit—Miley was "stronger and more energetic than she had been in a while" and had been feeling better overall from the flu symptoms, according to the source.

The source adds that her hospitalization had nothing to do with reported "partying," noting that Miley has only been alternating between performing and resting night after night.

We're told that her focus is now on getting better so she can hopefully complete all six shows remaining on the North American tour schedule, which ends April 25 in Connecticut. She is then scheduled to move the tour to Europe.

Miley's next show is Friday in Nashville, her hometown, so she is very focused on getting better for that, the source said. No word yet on whether she will be cleared.

Shortly after 8 a.m. CT today Miley tweeted: "I can't get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there...the hospital is sayin i wont b released today...therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control."

Additionally, fans are wondering why shows have been flat-out canceled instead of rescheduled, and, according to the tour source, getting an artist back into venues can be "very complex" because the arenas are booked many months in advance.

The insider added that cancellations, while a blow to the artist and to fans, are not uncommon (Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Justin Bieber and John Mayer have all had canceled shows in the last year) and are built into the tour and insurance plans for this very reason.

"mizzzzzeraaabbblleeee," Miley tweeted from the hospital on Tuesday night.

Feel better, girl!
