Moses Martin celebrated the big 0-8 in a very big way over the weekend, thanks to his celeb mama (who just happens to be the queen of all things lifestyle).

Gwyneth Paltrow hosted an 8th birthday party for her son at her Brentwood home on Saturday. Classmates from Moses' school arrived in the early afternoon for the party, which was held in the backyard of the L.A.-area mansion.

Of course, the Goop goddess left no detail unfinished and the party went off without a hitch. "It was a very special party and so much fun for the kids," an eyewitness revealed.

"At the entrance to the motor court, blue ombre balloons spelled out M-O-S-E-S along with a number 8," the source said. "His friends walked through the house to the backyard where a big pirate ship jumpy was set up along with balls and toys to play with on the lawn."

As for the food?

"Lunch was catered by food trucks from Dogtown Dogs and India Jones, who served Indian street food and pulled right into the property," the insider dished. "There was also a magician providing entertainment and airbrushing on T-shirts for the kids."

"Moses ran around with his friends all afternoon and had a blast," the source continued. "There was so much to choose from, the kids never sat down. It was like being at a private carnival and everyone was so excited," the eyewitness said adding, "It was a great day and fun celebration."

Moses' birthday comes on the heels of Paltrow and ex Chris Martin announcing their separation after 10 years of marriage.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," the pair announced via a statement titled "Conscious Uncoupling" on the Oscar winner's posh lifestyle website.

However, they vowed to remain in each other's lives. "We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," the exes wrote. "We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."

Since their separation, E! News has learned that the pair is getting along better than ever and have even sparked rumors that they may be rekindling their romance.

"They are getting on so well together, and still spending a lot of time together," a source told E! News of the former lovebirds, who jetted away to the Bahamas with their two children in the wake of their breakup. "It's kind of like the separation was never announced, you wouldn't even know that they are a couple that are going their separate ways."

"They have been spending some nights together still and are both still living at the same house in L.A.," the source continued. "It's kind of crazy how amicable this whole thing is. It's really interesting to spend time with them because there is no awkwardness at all. It's the oddest thing, they are acting as if they are still together."

Us Weekly was first to report the news of Moses' birthday bash.
