Jessica Simpson was a fun, fashionable and fit vision in yellow Sunday at the John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit in L.A.
The 33-year-old mom of two has worked hard to shed her baby weight (an estimated 60-70 pounds, according to one expert), so you can hardly blame her for choosing a foxy, curve-hugging little number like this one to show off that incredible bod!
But while the Weight Watchers spokeswoman was happy to flaunt her own svelte figure, her favorite workout partner didn't particularly want in on the limelight. "My daughter [Maxwell] wasn't ready for a red carpet today," Jess told reporters. "So that wasn't going to happen yet, but maybe next year."
So how exactly has Maxi, who turns 2 in May, been amping up mama Jess' fitness game? A source tells E! News mom's favorite form of cardio is running around after her mini-me and playing with her on the swings in the backyard! Jessica and Maxwell are also big into taking walks outside, chasing shadows, gardening and other fun activities that keep the blond beauties moving.
Jessica realized, though, how important it was to lose weight in a healthy way rather than opting for any fad diets or quick-fix methods. "I really do feel this need to be the best role model for my children," she told Good Morning America in January. "I want [Maxwell] to look up to me and want to be like me...I don't want to give her any false perception of what is real and what's important."
Clearly, J.Simp knows and wants her kids to understand that true beauty comes from within. It doesn't hurt to take care of yourself, though, and a smoking hot body just happens to be an excellent result of doing just that!
