InstagramVanessa Hudgens had one heck of a Coachella. The star—who has attended the Palm Springs music festival for the last few years—kicked things off by debuting long blond locks.
"Mermaid hair!!!" she wrote on her Instagram, adding: "I can't believe @riawnacapri made me this blonde!!!" Referring to the Nine Zero One hairstylist and colorist, Riawna Capri, who was also at the event this weekend with her friend and client Nina Dobrev.
"We knew we we're going to do this for Coachella," Capri tells E! News exclusively. "We we're debating peach hair but went with blond. Vanessa loves change. If it's long and brown, then she'll go short next time. She never does the same thing twice." The salon's other top hairstylist, Nikki Lee, added in Vanessa's extensions.
In the photo, the former Disney star is wearing a leopard print bikini top, tiny cutoffs topped with a oversize metal belt, flip flops, and of course, an extra large floppy hat. Later in the day she ditched her shoes and walked barefoot in the grass with her boyfriend Austin Butler.
Two days later the couple was spotted strolling together again, this time the actress opted for a bright red coverup and matching shades. But her beau wasn't her only companion for the weekend. The actress was also joined by her sister Sella Hudgens and pal Laura Jayne at the three-day event. Vanessa shared the group's desert adventures on her social media. A few highlights? Surviving a dust storm, partying with glow sticks, and fun with bubbles (see video below)
