Lana Del Rey Released a New Song in the Middle of the Night and It's a Sun-Soaked Ode to California

Lana Del Rey is both thoughtful and generous. She's been teasing the hell out of her new single, "West Coast," for about a week now and officially debuted it during her Coachella set last night.

That's the generous part. Though, if you weren't able to sweat it out in the desert on a school night, you might be driven crazy watching Instagram clips of the performance. But Lana didn't make you wait too long: She had the track online by 3 a.m. Now, isn't that thoughtful?

The audio video is a continuous loop of Lana twirling on the beach while her man watches on, because what Lana video (even just an audio video) would be complete without some casual twirling and a blond, tattooed dude your mother would definitely not approve of?

It's like watching a GIF over and over and over again. But, in case you want a few other GIFs to accompany your first listen, we rounded some up for you. If only because who doesn't love looking at Lana GIFs? You're welcome.

"Down on the West Coast, they got a sayin, 'If you're not drinkin', then you're not playin''/ But you've got the music, you've got the music in you, don't you?"

"I can see my baby swingin'/ His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up/ On the balcony and I'm singing, 'Ooh baby, Ooh baby, I'm in love'!"

"Down on the West Coast, they got their icons/ Their silver starlets, their Queens of Saigon/ But you've got the music, you've got the music in you, don't you?"

"Down on the West Coast, they love their movies/ Their golden dozen, rock 'n' roll groupies/ And you've got the music, you've got the music in you, don't you?"

Thank you, Queen Lana, for this California dream. And for having such a GIF-able face.
