Peaches Geldof Found Dead With 11-Month-Old Son by Her Side: Report

According to the Sun, the 25-year-old's son Phaedra was next to her body when she died at her Kent home on Monday

Another sad detail has emerged regarding the sudden death of Peaches Geldof.

The 25-year-old daughter of rock legend Bob Geldof was found dead Monday at her home in Wrotham, Kent, with her 11-month-old son, Phaedra, by her side, according to the U.K.'s Sun.

Peaches was reportedly found by a friend after her husband, Thomas Cohen, tried repeatedly to get a hold of her and then, worried when there was no answer, asked the friend to go check on his wife. The friend then called police.

In a tragic coincidence, per the Sun, Peaches' mother, TV presenter Paula Yates, was found dead of a drug overdose with then 4-year-old Tiger Lily by her side.

"The hope is that Phaedra was so young he wasn't aware of what was going on," a family source told the paper. "The most important thing is that he's OK. It is devastating for Tom that he wasn't there but it couldn't have been avoided."

Funeral plans are in the works, with the service expected to take place at the same church in Kent where Yates' memorial was held in 2000.

An autopsy proved inconclusive pending the results of more tests, which could take several weeks. Authorities have said that they are not treating the death as suspicious.

In an interview published posthumously that Peaches gave to the Sun in 2011, the model and TV personality slammed speculation shadowing her at the time that she was anorexic.

"I had cholesterol and the doctors said stop eating s--t. So I did," she said. "If you stop eating pizza and chips you then don't look like you used to."

Just days before her death Peaches appeared at Tesco's F&F clothing line launch in London, and she last posted to Instagram on Sunday, a photo of her as a child with Yates. (Her Instagram account has since been deactivated.)

She and Cohen were parents to two children together, Phaedra and his nearly 2-year-old brother, Astala.

Peaches had recently started penning a column for the U.K.-based magazine Mother & Baby, and her final column was posted Tuesday.

"So, I've achieved a sort of perfect balance. Right now life is good. And being a mum is the best part of it," she wrote.
