Cameron Diaz wanted to reach the masses, and now she will!

The actress attended an appeals hearing in L.A. Apr. 3 with Emma Watts, 20th Century Fox's president of production. The Other Woman, opening Apr. 25, was previously rated R. Per The Los Angeles Times, the Classification and Rating Appeals Board overturned its decision and made it PG-13.

The comedy—directed by Nick Cassavetes and starring Diaz, Leslie Mann, Kate Upton, Nicki Minaj, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Taylor Kinney—was originally rated R due to some sexual references, but according to sources, the filmmakers did not have to make any cuts in order to secure a PG-13 rating.

In The Other Woman, Diaz's character discovers that her boyfriend (Coster-Waldau) is married. She befriends with his wife (Mann) and fellow mistress (Upton). Together, the three women plot revenge.

CARA chairman Joan Graves represented the ratings board at last Thursday's hearing.

Diaz previously expressed frustration with the ratings board and its perceived sexism at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. "It's really unfortunate that [members of the ratings board] see things that women do a little bit more strict—they judge us a little bit more than they do men. A lot of the things that they're judging—like we say, 'You need to close your vagina.' Like, you can't say 'vagina'...What's wrong with a vagina? Guys make reference to their parts all the times nowadays without getting the R rating."
