Muse's highly anticipated Coachella performance is only one day away.

Comprised of Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Christopher Wolstenholme, The English rock band has risen to stardom since forming in Teignmouth, Devon in 1994.

Admitting to the Guardian, "We like pushing it as far as we can," their flamboyant live performances and progressive rock sound have taken them from their first NME in 2000 to the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2011, with six albums now under their belts.

Check out the five things you probably didn't know about Muse before they hit the stage at Coachella tomorrow!

1. Matt Bellamy is the son of a former music star: Matt, the band's frontman, isn't just Kate Hudson's baby daddy. He's also the son of The Tornados' George Bellamy, who started playing rhythm guitar for the band in the ‘50s. After leaving the group in the '60s, he went on to form British band Rough Terrain.

2. Their first award was followed by a disaster: They won their first award in 2000—an NME for Best New Band—and then their plane caught on fire as they were heading out. "I remember what happened just after the Awards even more clearly than the ceremony itself," Bellamy told NME in 2007. "We had to fly to a gig in this small plane and one of the engines caught alight as it was going down the runway - luckily it didn't blow up. We were actually sitting there with the award in our hands when the engine burst into flames, so I think it was probably our most rock'n'roll moment. Thankfully it hasn't made me scared of flying…or awards."

3. Muse was first named after a porn film: Before Bellamy, Howard and Wolstenholme united to form Muse, Bellamy and Howard formed a band called Rocket Baby Dolls, named after "some dodgy Japanese porn film" they had seen, Bellamy reportedly told Gary "Stryker" Sandorf in a 2006 interview on "Loveline." According to Yahoo, they decided to drop out of college and quit their jobs in 1994 after winning a battle of the bands. Then, they changed their name to Muse.

4. Twilight made them feel like they sold their souls: The band was featured on all three of the film series soundtracks, which they mainly did to bring more attention to their music. "I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways," Wolstenholme told the BBC in 2010. "It's very difficult in America because you don't have anything like Radio 1, nothing is national...You have to take every opportunity you get over there and sometimes you have to sell your soul."

5. Christopher Wolstenholme has six kids: The 35-year-old bassist, who also plays the drums, keyboards, guitar, harmonica, vibraphone and synthesizer (!), has six kids with his wife Kelly, whom he married in December 2003. Alfie, Ava-Jo, Frankie, Ernie, Buster and Teddi range in age from two (Teddi) to 14 (Alfie).
