Before Jon Hamm was Mad Men's main man, he was just another slightly awkward guy looking for love on a TV dating game show.

Thanks to recently unearthed footage of Jon's 1995 appearance on The Big Date, the world got to see the actor's pre-fame "fabulosity" at its finest. Jon himself was also treated to this blast from the past, and on Tuesday's The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, he poked some fun at his younger self.

In a vintage clip from the cringe-worthy appearance, Jon promised prospective date Mary Carter a "fabulous foot massage." Craig wanted to know if Jon, now 43, gives his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt "the ol' foot massage" like he promised this lady he would. His game response? "Absolutely!"

Jon went on to laughingly ask Craig if he would've picked him to go on a date over the other contestants. "I would pick you now," he started to answer, but Jon quickly interjected, "Yes, now! But that was 1995. I was all of 24 years old and making some questionable decisions in my life, as you could see."

Ha. Still, Craig was "very annoyed" Jon was rejected back in the day.

"I'm not," the Mad Men hunk told him emphatically. "Think of how the world could've changed!"
