Sarah Michelle Gellar may not be keeping up with the Kardashians, but the actress appears to be in the minority. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Vogue cover will likely sell 300,000 to 400,000 copies.

The estimated sales figures come courtesy of The New York Post's Page Six. The April 2014 edition is on par with top-selling issues featuring Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. In the spring of 2013, the "Drunk in Love" singer outsold the First Lady's cover 355,397 to 293,798, including digital replicas.

A spokesperson for Vogue previously told E! News the magazine "never comments on sales figures."

Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, clearly anticipating a backlash, wrote in her editor's note, "As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue's cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn't true."

According to editor-at-large Hamish Bowles, Vogue's best-selling issue ever was 1992's 100th anniversary edition, featuring Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Karen Mulder, Elaine Irwin, Niki Taylor, Yasmeen Ghauri, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Tatjana Patitz.

"They were the kind of Liz Taylors of the '80s," the fashion journalist explained during a CBS Sunday Morning interview in December 2011. "They were the ones with the unbelievably glamorous lives and the crazy glamorous boyfriends and they were the girls that everybody wanted to be."

Shooting with Annie Leibovitz and working with Vogue's Bowles and Grace Coddington made Kardashian feel like a Sarah Jessica Parker character. "Honestly, I felt like the real-life Carrie Bradshaw. It was like the Sex and the City moment where you're doing a shoot for Vogue and trying on wedding gowns," she said on Late Night With Seth Meyers, referring to a fashion montage in the 2008 movie.

Kardashian took the criticism in stride, and on Tuesday, she even blogged about some of her favorite spoofs. "Loving these cute parody pics of my Vogue cover with Kanye!" the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star said of the photo set, which included James Franco and Seth Rogen's interpretation. "People are so funny and creative, I just had to share some of my favorites!"
