Jamie Lynn Spears and new hubby James Watson were all smiles on Sunday evening at the 2014 ACM Awards in Las Vegas, where the duo made their official red carpet debut as a couple since the lovebirds tied the knot last month in New Orleans.
The 23-year-old country crooner—who released her debut single "How Could I Want More" earlier this year—stunned in a black, orange and white patterned mini dress, paired with bright coral pointed-toe pumps in addition to a silver cuff. The blond beauty wore her hair in big, cascading curls, adding another element of sass to her trendy ensemble, but her most important accessory was undoubtedly her gorgeous engagement ring.
Meanwhile, Watson looked handsome in a black suit coat and crisp white shirt, appearing in good spirits as he posed for pics with his famous wife while dutifully standing by her side.
And it seems that the night was a success for Spears as she took to her Twitter page after the show to comment on the evening. "First #ACMS over!! I had an amazing time. What were y'alls favorite performances? - @ACMawards," she wrote.
But there was a bit of a hiccup in the night when host Blake Shelton opted to diss Jamie Lynn's big sister Britney, telling the audience, "If you don't like live music, then you need to go down the block and see Britney Spears" (surprisingly, there was no cut away to BritBrit's younger sibling).
Still, Spears seemingly took the comments in stride and enjoyed a fabulous night with her friends and her man. "And thank you @KelliePickler for being so sweet and guiding me thru my first #ACMs! - Repost from @acmawards," she captioned an adorable pic with Pickler.
Spears and her husband wed on March 14 at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans. Her mother, Lynne, father Jamie Spears, big sister Britney along with boyfriend David Lucado and her 5-year-old daughter Maddie, who served as the flower girl, were all in attendance.
Britney's boys Jayden James and Sean walked together as ring bearers during the nuptials, where there were about 150 to 200 people present.
