Talk about a love story for the ages.

Rebekah Gregory and Pete DiMartino, the couple who was severely injured in last April's Boston Marathon bombings, wed in front of 150 family and friends in Asheville, N.C. on Friday.

Gregory stunned in a fit-and-flare Sophia Moncelli for Kleinfeld gown and was escorted down the aisle by both her father and her 6-year-old son Noah, according to People. And while exchanging vows with her now-hubby at the altar, she leaned on DiMartino for support, noting how she couldn't stand without her man.

"Keep holding him like that—it'll do well in your life," the wedding officiant reportedly said.

The advice is undoubtedly meaningful for the lovebirds, who faced months of both physical and emotional healing after last year's horrific explosion. The two were at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, cheering on Pete's mom, when the bombs went off, and Rebekah's body shielded her son, Noah, and very likely saved his life.

"It was honestly a mother's worst nightmare," she said.

Gregory lost function of her left leg while DiMartino suffered injuries to his Achilles tendon and required reconstructive surgery on his eardrums. But after months of recovery, the two got engaged in October and began planning their dream wedding, thanks to website The Knot and sponsor Ralph Lauren Romance.

After the 30-minute ceremony, during which there was no shortage of tears among the guests, attendees were served cocktails and noshed on chicken and waffles and bruschetta while enjoying views of the gardens at the beautiful Biltmore estate.

The "Enchanted-garden theme" reception also featured a meal which consisted of crab, whipped potatoes and roasted vegetables in addition to a cake from NYC's Cake Alchemy, according to People.

As for the honeymoon?

The couple plans to head to the Dominican Republican followed by a trip Thailand. "Come next year, when we're in the month of April, we're not going to say, 'This is the month we got blown up,'" the bride tells People. "We'll say, 'This is the month we got married.'"

Tissues, anyone?
