Miley Cyrus knows a little snuggle sesh is always the best medicine.

Following the death of her dog Floyd on Tuesday, which hit the singer incredibly hard, the 21-year-old pop star took to Twitter to share two photos where she's cuddling in bed with her pup Mary Jane, who appears to be consoling the star in her gloomy state.

A gal's best friend, indeed.

"Crackin a smile thanks to Mary Jane," the blond beauty captioned the first photo, adding a heart emoji to emphasize her love for the rescue pup, whom she adopted with her former fiancé, Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Liam Hemsworth

"getting choked out by Mary Jane has never felt soooo good," the "Wrecking Ball" singer wrote of the second shot in a dark room where you can barely make out Mary Jane's paw wrapped around Miley's neck.

The "Adore You" singer first informed her Twitter followers that her dog had passed away on Tuesday, writing, "Today is the 2nd worst day of my life," before adding, "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away. I am broken."

She also shared several pictures of herself with her pet pooch and told her 17.6 million followers, "I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him. This is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him? I am miserable."

Not wanting to let her loyal fans down, the singer took the stage for her Bangerz tour show in Boston on Wednesday, although she admitted she wasn't feeling like her normal energetic self.

And she opted to channel her feelings of mourning into her music, breaking down during her performance of "Landslide," which she dedicated to the Alaskan Klee Kai.

"It's gonna be hard for me on this next song. I'm not sounding myself, I don't feel myself. But I just wanna do one song," the choked-up singer was heard saying before the performance. "I'm sure you guys already know, but the reason that I'm so upset is my dog, I shouldn't say he was my favorite but he was my favorite, he passed away. I just wanna do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together, it's his favorite song…so I wanna do this song for Floyd. This song is 'Landslide.'"

Although clearly emotional, Miley was able to finish her rendition which ended with a roaring applause from fans.

Mary Jane appears to successfully cheering the performer up after a rough few days. On Wednesday afternoon, the animal lover tweeted that she was "f--king miserable" but by that night, she was "cracking a smile" thanks to her beloved pet.

Hang in there, Miles!
