It finally happened!

Tonight on American Idol, the judges decided to step in and change the fate of the competition. We've waited and wondered to see which finalist would be worthy of the judges one save of the season—and now we finally know who it is!

Host Ryan Seacrest announced tonight that Malaya Watson, Sam Woolf and CJ Harris received the least amount of America's votes, and thus were named this week's bottom three. So which contestant was worthy of Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban's career-saving assistance?

Say congratulations to….

Sam Woolf!

The future teen heartthrob wowed the crowed with a flawless rendition of "Babylon" as his "Save Me" song, and it was clear that the judges were not ready to say goodbye to this talented singer.

Jennifer was the lucky lady who got to break the news to the world, and revealed that with a unanimous vote, the judges decided to use their one save of the season on Sam.

Confetti fell onto the elated audience, and the other Idol hopefuls rushed the stage to offer Sam their hugs of congratulations. The top eight will once again participate in next week's live performances and the theme is ‘80s hits!
