The Force will definitely be strong with this episode.

Yep. The folks behind the geek-tastic The Big Bang Theory have teamed up with Lucasfilm for an upcoming episode that will be pay trbute to Star Wars Day.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the episode, titled "The Proton Transmogrification," airs May 1 and will find the gang getting together to "celebrate the annual holiday, while Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is guided by visions of his childhood idol and mentor, Professor Proton (Bob Newhart), who appears to the socially challenged genius as his own Jedi master."

For the uninitiated, Star Wars Day is recognized every year on May 4, during which time fans celebrate the film franchise with screenings and special events, and go around all day greeting people with "May the fourth be with you," an obvious play on the popular line, "May the Force be with you."

"We were approached by the Lucasfilm people to do something to celebrate Star Wars Day, which was nice," co-creator Chuck Lorre told The Hollywood Reporter.

Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic then proceeded to recreate the planet of Dagobah and provided several props for the episode, including a light saber.

Tune in, we will.
