Taylor Swift has a heart of gold.
The 24-year-old country-pop star continued her do-gooder streak Monday when she and her father Scott Swift paid a surprise visit to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I.
Per local NBC affiliate WJAR-TV, Taylor arrived, "without press releases and cameras or an entourage" and stayed for five hours visiting with the kids and their families. According to Hasbro Children's Hopsital's Facebook page, she "even played a song for the kids on our 6th floor med/psych unit."
"It was such a special day for a lot of our kids, and we are so thankful to Taylor and her dad for choosing to spend their time with us and put smiles on so many faces."
Just one week before Taylor's philanthropic visit in Rhode Island, where she owns a cottage, she stopped by New York Hospital Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She was scheduled to visit with her ailing admirers for an hour, but spent nearly five (!) hours stopping by each patient's rooms for a little chat and hangout session.
Pop stars, celebrities, and people in general, take note: Taylor Swift's doing things right.
