The Knave of Hearts lives on!
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland star Michael Socha is set to join the cast of Once Upon a Time as a series regular for its fourth season, E! News has confirmed.
Yes, that means Socha, who plays the Knave of Hearts/Will, is crossing realms, leaving Wonderland behind for Storybrooke after the spinoff's recent cancellation. It's worth mentioning that ABC has yet to actually pick up the fantasy drama for a fourth season (or any other series thus far for the 2014-15 season), though this news seems to make it all but official.
Entertainment Weekly first reported the news of Socha's move to OUAT.
At a press event before Wonderland's cancellation, OUAT's creators hinted at a potential crossover in season four, with Adam Horowitz explaining, ""[Wonderland and OUAT] are slightly out of sync. I would say that we love the characters in [Wonderland] obviously, and would certainly be open to it down the line...Next year, perhaps."
Socha's crossover to OUAT shouldn't come as much of a surprise, given his popularity with fans despite Wonderland's struggling ratings. Plus, OUAT had an opening in the leading men department after Sunday's episode, which featured a major death.
It remains to be seen if any other Wonderland stars will join OUAT full-time next season.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland's series finale airs this Thursday on ABC.
