Talk about news to get happy about!

Pharrell Williams has officially been tapped as a coach for The Voice's seventh season.

"Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7," the NBC reality hit's official Twitter account posted on Monday. (Whether or not his infamous Grammys hit will be joining the show as well remains to be seen.)

After the news broke, Pharrell took to Twitter to confirm the casting news, writing, "This is going to be so fun." Adam Levine, who has been a coach on all six seasons of The Voice, welcomed Pharrell to the family, tweeting, "Welcome to the circus dude!"

But which three other musical superstars will be filling out season seven's other red chairs? The full coach lineup will be announced at a later date.

"It's been a huge year for Pharrell, with recognition for his contribution in the world of music — the Despicable Me franchise soundtracks, his Oscar-nominated song ‘Happy' and his Grammy-winning collaboration with Daft Punk on the breakout dance hit ‘Get Lucky.' His dominance in record sales in 2014, coupled with his incomparable accomplishments in the world of fashion and design, make him an irresistible addition to The Voice family," NBC boss Paul Telegdy said in a statement. "He has already made a considerable impact as a mentor, drawing on an impressive track record as both a producer and performer. It is a perfect fit for The Voice as we evolve and reach for new heights with this franchise. It feels like we are welcoming an existing family member home."

Executive producer Mark Burnett added, "I am thrilled to have Pharrell come back to The Voice family, and this time...as a coach. Continuing in The Voice tradition of having the biggest and most current music stars as coaches, Pharrell fits perfectly."

After being nominated for an Oscar for his work on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, Pharrell recently released his latest album, Girl, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S.

And Pharrell isn't new to The Voice, as he served as Usher's guest mentor back in season four!

Back in February, CeeLo Green, who was one of the four original coaches, announced he was exiting The Voice after four seasons. "I just don't want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I'm saying? I have so many other things that I want to do," he said at the time.

The Voice's seventh season will debut in the fall, while the sixth season is currently underway, with coaches Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
