We can't be the only ones who did a double take upon first seeing this new Porter cover, right? If it hadn't been for the cover lines indicating Lady Gaga we might have thought we we're staring at Sienna Miller.

But it is, in fact, Mother Monster herself—Showing off her rarely seen au naturel look. She completely ditched her wild wigs and—well, I guess you'd call them—hats and is sporting her actual blond strands and shaggy bangs. The only visable makeup is a layer of lip gloss, and OK, maybe a swipe of mascara. The magazine even captioned one of the sneak peek images on their Instagram: "Lady Gaga as you've never seen her before."

Indeed, this is quite the opposite effect from what we've seen the pop star in lately. Back to her over-the-top wardrobe, last week the singer stepped out in a parade of avant-garde looks that defy description (see above).

But this isn't the first time Gaga has undergone a makeunder for a publication. In 2011 she went fresh faced for Harper's Bazaar magazine. Then last year, she ditched her makeup and clothes for a spread in V magazine.

Before releasing the new issue's cover today, Porter teased it's second issue with a #IAMPORTER app, in which readers could superimpose themselves onto a cover that feature Lady Gaga's Mickey Mouse-inspired headgear by Philip Treacy.

For the magazine's first issue, which was released in February, Gisele Bündchen also posed with minimal makeup. We're sensing a pattern here.
