The former Smash and Sean Saves the World star and husband Brian Gallagher are expecting their first child together, the couple confirmed on Twitter on Saturday. The mama-to-be shared the exciting news on her 33rd birthday.
"2 years ago today I met the man of my dreams and now we're proud to announce we're starting a family! #happybirthdaytome! @BrianGGallagher," the actress tweeted.
Gallagher added, "Yup! Working on a new project w/ @meganhilty! It's been in development for months now, & is due in September! Working title: #GallagherBaby!"
The actors met in a fitness class while they were both working on Broadway. The couple tied the knot last November at the Venetian chapel in Las Vegas and celebrated with a post-wedding reception in Los Angeles several weeks later.
"It was fun," a source tells E! News of the party. "Very low key and casual."
Hilty gushed to E! News in December that being a missus "feels great." But Hilty says being married doesn't really feel any different, adding, "I just get to introduce him as my husband now. I think other people treat us differently, than anything else."
