Looks like Katherine Webb wasn't too unimpressed by AJ McCarron's loss in the BCS Title Game.
The Alabama-born sweethearts are engaged, Webb having taken to Twitter to announce the happy news—and show off her pretty ring.
"WE'RE ENGAGEDDD!!! @10AJMcCarron," the former Miss Alabama USA tweeted this afternoon after her longtime boyfriend popped the question. Webb also posted a darling pic of the two embracing in the moment, her face hidden but her big rock and perfect red manicure on display.
"He designed it himself," she added, along with a closeup shot of what appears to be a cushion-cut diamond in a pavé halo setting.
Way to go, AJ!
The 23-year-old star quarterback might not have been able to add a fourth national championship to his illustrious college-career resume, but he's obviously still graduating on a high note.
As for his football future, NFL Draft Countdown (39 days until, FYI) currently has him ranked fifth at his position heading into the 2014 NFL Draft.
Having already been the belle of her home state, Webb vaulted to national fame after unintentionally stealing the spotlight during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game when ESPN commentator Brent Musberger just couldn't get enough of her sitting on the sidelines during the broadcast.
Musberger eventually apologized, admitting he might have been a little inappropriate, but a whole new level of notice awaited Webb online. She ended up making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut the following month, and she starred in one of those super-sexy Carl's Jr. ads last fall.
