That Awkward Moment star Zac Efron may have found himself in the middle of a rather violent moment over the weekend.

The 26-year-old actor was reportedly punched in the mouth on Sunday after he and a bodyguard had an altercation with a few homeless individuals in downtown Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

According to the website, Efron told authorities on the scene that they had thrown a bottle out the window of his car while waiting for a tow truck after running out of gas.

Apparently, the transients took it as a threat and a melee ensued, during which time Efron was reportedly clocked in the face.

"It was the hardest I've ever been hit in my life," Efron reportedly told police.

However, nobody was arrested because the fighting was considered mutual.

The Los Angeles Police Department tells E! News that officers were flagged down by a nearby person at 2:25 a.m. Sunday to Temple Street and the 110 Freeway. There was a physical altercation between two men and a couple of transients in the area. Authorities, however, would not identify Efron or anyone involved. A tow truck was dispatched to the area.

Meanwhile, E! News has reached out to Efron's rep, but has yet to receive a comment regarding the alleged incident.
