It's not every day that Victoria Beckham sits down and has a leisurely chat about fashion, family and what really drives her both personally and professionally; but the star does just that for a new Skype Collaboration Project, which first appeared on Vanity Fair.

The esteemed designer recently joined Bag Snob's Tina Craig, the magazine's Jessica Diehl and Beckham's head of global sales Saskia Terzani for an online gab session about style and stardom, and of course, a heavy dose of chatter on (what else?) handbags!

Craig referenced a cute Instagram photo of Beckham, who hilariously posed with a neon tote on her head in the middle of New York Fashion Week, captioning the picture, "It's that time in the season when we all get a little delirous. #NYFW x vb."

Posh laughed at the memory and joked, "It's the new way to wear your handbag…it's on your head. I'm just putting it out there!"

And speaking of handbags, the style icon recalled her very first designer purse.

"My first bag was a Gucci carrier bag that my mother's friend gave me because she knew I loved designer bags. I was probably about 11 or 12. It was actually a plastic bag, dark green with gold writing on it. I used to stuff all of my school books in there and it stretched and stretched and stretched and then the bottom just fell out!"

Those days are certainly behind David Beckham's talented wife, who successfully balances a booming fashion career in the spotlight, a busy schedule, plus four beautiful children.

As for her start in the industry, Victoria candidly admits she worked hard to earn the respect she does among the style community.

"I always dreamed of doing this. I wanted to do it when the time was right, I was very focused. It's not just me doing this, I have a great set of people around me. I was nervous. It wasn't about me, the celebrity, it was about the product," she quipped.

"I love women, I want to empower women. I want to make women feel confident and sexy and good about themselves. I love to get in the fitting rooms with my customer and find out what she likes!"

From the looks of her growing empire and loyal fans, Posh is nailing it right on the head.
