Nick Cannon's use of whiteface certainly got people talking—and some of the backlash has been pretty brutal. Still, Mariah Carey's hubby has no regrets about his "Connor Smallnut" (yes, seriously) character.

"I love this conversation though," he tweeted Monday, as his questionable alter ego continued to promote his upcoming album White People Party Music. "It's showing a lot of people's true colors...#punintended #wppm woooo!!!"

At first, the 33-year-old father of two feigned confusion over the controversy. " Hold up… What the f#ck is "White Face"???" he wrote. "Did I just create a new term??? Nice!!! LOL."

"Damn I didn't know it was going to be this hard being White!," he tweeted.  "I'm exhausted with all this 'privilege' LOL #WhitePeopleProblems."

Nick even engaged with some back-and-forth with his haters, jokingly writing, "Let's march!! Rally up all the other white folks and I'll go get the pick up truck!! Ha!"

He even facetiously encouraged tweeter claiming he was going to "relax, have fun, & wear black face" to see how everyone would react. "Do it!" Nick quipped. "I dare you."

Nick retweeted complimentary tweets, including one calling his use of whiteface "a brilliant way to market his album" and another suggesting, "Connor Smallnut is hilarious, & people getting offended by it is even funnier."
