Did Nina Dobrev lose a bet? That's the only reason we could come up with that would explain why she wore a bow at the crown of her head (perhaps she was trying to channel her childhood days?) The hair bow confused us because Nina is old enough to spell her name yet it totally clashed with her sophisticated dress.

At least she got her makeup right! Her creamy skin was perfectionflawless with just a healthy touch of flush to her cheeks. Her sultry black liner brought out the brown in her eyes and sparkled with a touch of shimmering champagne eye shadow in the inner corners. We also loved the Vampire Diaries star's glossy peachy nude lipsthe perfect match for her dramatic eyes.

Beauty Bailout: It doesn't take a village to figure out how to right this beauty wrong. Take out the silly bow! Nina has such gorgeous hair that she could have worn her luscious locks loosely over her shoulders or up high in a messy chignon.

Get the Look: We won't let one rogue bow ruin our love of Nina's makeup look. After cleansing skin and prepping with primer, apply a light coverage tinted moisturizer or BB cream that will give you a dewy finish like Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer. Tip: If makeup looks streaky or is settling into pores, lightly spritz a makeup sponge and blot (press) entire face for a flawless finish.

Add a "lit from within" flush to your cheeks by using your middle finger to pat on a sheer pink cream or gel blush like Boots No7 Natural Blush Cream Pink Blush to the apples of your cheeks. Tip: To give your face an upward lift, blend blush upwards towards your temples.

To get Nina's dark and stormy eye makeup, start by prepping upper eye area with concealer or primer. Then, apply a matte powder cream-colored eye shadow. Now, using a matte black eye shadow pencil like Rimmel ScandalEYES Shadow Stick in Blackmail, line the upper lash line with a thick line. Using a finger or a small eye brush, blend the shadow up towards your crease.

To add extra definition, apply a kohl black eyeliner pencil to the upper lash line and the outer corner of your lower lash line and smudge. Make eyes sparkle by applying a shimmering champagne eye shadow like Bobbi Brown Shimmer Eye Wash Shadow in Champagne to the inner corners of your eyes with an eyeliner brush. Finish the eye makeup with two to three coats of your favorite volume-building mascara.

Complete this makeup look by applying a peachy nude lip gloss like Burt's Bees Lip Gloss in Sweet Sunset.

We really hope this whole "little girl bow" situation is a one-time occurrence for the usually flawless Ms. Dobrev. If she shows up next in pigtails, we may really start to worry. As long as she keeps with the sultry makeup, we can ward off a "people are going to start to think you have Daddy issues" intervention.
