Khloé Kardashian has been keeping up with Lamar Odom.

Although the former couple are still going through with their divorce, a source close to the pair tells E! News that Khloé "checks in with Lamar to see how he's doing" but notes, once more for those hopeful fans, that there's no reconciliation in works.

However, the NBA star expressed different desires during an interview with In Touch Weekly (on newsstands now), telling the mag, "I want to make it work with Khloé...I'm focusing on getting better."

The 34-year-old has been ruled unfit to play due to a back injury and has "finished his present contract," the Spanish basketball team Baskonia (also known as Laboral Kutxa) announced on Saturday. The veteran athlete will treat his injury in the U.S. and is already back home in the states.

In a statement, Odom gave thanks to the fans and said he is still part of the team. "I am going to try and get back on the court and give you guys a show," the basketball star told the club's website.

Meanwhile, the E! star was very candid about her split when she phoned in to Australia's 2Day FM Breakfast With the Stars radio show on Tuesday. The 29-year-old beauty simply stated, "It's definitely not anything I'm through. I'm going through it, but I'm not through it."

And reliving the entire ordeal on her family's hit show has been tough, to say the least. "It's really hard to watch yourself on TV. It's definitely different in that the world has to watch, too," Kardashian explained. "It's definitely not the easiest thing to do, but it's what my life is."
