Kate Hudson has modeled her fair share of little black dresses for Ann Taylor campaigns and now she's decided to design the next batch. The actress collaborated with the brand's creative director Lisa Axelson on a collection of LBDs, which will hit stores in April. "We designed them to fit how we all live," Hudson shared. "So there's something for every occasion and everyone."

And being that her life often includes Hollywood events, there is a gown that is red carpet-ready. The "Best Actress" number is a floor-length, off-the-shoulder creation that could easily be the star's next premiere look.

In fact, the slim-fitting gown was actually based off the Ann Taylor gown that she wore to the BCRF gala last fall (far right). And as you can see it fits right in the same simple but stunning style that Kate has made her signature look. Just look back at some of her best black dresses over the years (from left to right): There was the jaw-dropping Alexander McQueen gown at the 2013 Golden Globes, a sparkling sequin mini at the 2001 Blockbuster Awards and a silky slip dress at the 2001 Golden Globes.

But back to the present, and more importantly on to the four other fantastic frocks in Hudson's new line. Get a good look at them—and a few of Kate's dance moves—in her new behind-the-scenes video.
