Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse are quite possibly the most adorable couple in television history. But in case you didn't already know, or are living in denial, Lori Loughlin and John Stamos' chemistry on Full House didn't translate offscreen.
The 49-year-old actress stopped by Yahoo's Daily Shot on Tuesday and revealed why she never got together with her handsome co-star.
"I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband," Loughlin told host Ali Wentworth on Tuesday. "That one didn't work out."
Stamos famously revealed his side of the story and said that "she could be the one that got away" during an appearance on HuffPost Live last summer.
"Well, that was very nice of him to say," Loughlin admitted to Wentworth. "Literally right when I was getting divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn]."
Loughlin was married to Michael Burns for most of her run as Becky Katsopolis (née Donaldson) on Full House before the couple divorced in 1996. She tied the knot with current hubby Mossimo Giannulli the following year and they have two children.
Stamos married now ex-wife Rebecca Romijn in 1998 and they divorced in 2005.
And despite the fact the handsome pair was never romantically involved in real-life, Loughlin still thinks her onscreen husband is the "hottest" person in the Tanner crew.
Meanwhile, Stamos recently gushed about his current relationship with Loughlin.
"She's just the model of a perfect person, a beautiful person, and we're still great friends," the actor raved. "We just don't have sex, but we're great friends."
