No, that wasn't a nightmare, Teen Wolf fans. It actually happened. Warning, spoilers ahead!

A major death had been teased for several months, but we don't think anyone saw that coming on Monday, March 17, when the MTV hit series killed off its female lead. Yes, that's right, in a shocking move, Allison (Crystal Reed) was killed in "Insatiable." And it wasn't even the finale! In a massive fight with the Oni, Allison was stabbed, ultimately dying in her first love Scott's (Tyler Posey) arms, telling him she'd always love him. Yes, we're still crying. No, we're not sure we'll ever recover.

"I cant compose a tweet to express my feelings," Reed wrote to Teen Wolf fans on Twitter after the shocker went down. "I Love you all so dearly."

And it's safe to say Allison's death has joined the ranks of TV's most shocking deaths in recent history...

Other deaths that made our list include Sons of Anarchy's two most recent kills, Clay and Tara, as well as several fan favorites from Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy and more. And we're still crying over a certain death on Dexter.

Oh, and of course, Homeland's Brody (aka the male freakin' lead!) made our list. Obviously. But Damian Lewis' offing didn't make it to number one!
