There seems to be a growing trend in side projects among actresses recently. Replacing fragrance and fashion lines, lifestyle brands seems to be where its at. The leader in this new crop of mini-Martha Stewarts is, of course, Gwyneth Paltrow who has been expanding her Goop company at a rapid rate—her latest addition being a fitness and diet series with Tracy Anderson.

And now another Oscar winner (and pal of Paltrow) is in the early stages of starting her of lifestyle company. Reese Witherspoon has just hired C. Wonder president Andrea Hyde to act as CEO of her new and unnamed project.

The brand will have a southern influence as Reese hails from Nashville. We're guessing beauty, fashion, health and food will all be hot topics. Just last week, the star was taking cooking classes at a Culinary Institute in Nappa Valley with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz—two gals who have also recently released lifestyle books.

Reese's new company is set to launch in 2015, but there is another blond star who will probably debut a similar project before then. Blake Lively confirmed to Vogue UK last fall that she has been working on a Goop-like site.

"I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don't utilize when acting," Ryan Reynolds' wife shared. "Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn't be an actor."

Fair enough. Apparently there's quite a lot of well-rounded women in Hollywood.
