Tyler Perry wants everyone to see The Single Moms Club in theaters, and he's counting on pal Chelsea Handler to help expand his audience.

On Thursday's Chelsea Lately, Perry told the late-night host he wanted her "to invite all the white people to come see the movie."

"That's all I'm saying," he quipped. "That's why I'm here."

Handler happily obliged, speaking directly to the camera, saying, "OK, homies—my kinda homies—we all need to go out and support his movie. We're appealing to white people! It's called The Single Moms Club. "

"And there are white people in the movie," Perry interjected with a laugh.

Handler told Perry she would be seeing the film—which features Amy Smart, Ryan Eggold, Terry Crews, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Nia Long, Eddie Cibrian, Cocoa Brown, William Levy and Zulay Henao—in theaters. She then readdressed her audience, saying, "It's called The Single Moms Club, and that's what I would be if I had a baby."

Ha. Fortunately for Handler, though, she has assistants taking care of her! She and Perry joked about feeling infantilized by the help from their assistants—even when it comes to basic everyday stuff. "I went to the gas station for the first time the other day," Handler said, "and I gave [the gas attendant] $10. The guy was like, 'What do you want with the $10? Because your car's electric!"

Perry knew the feeling, joking that when he took a solo trip to the grocery store, he saw a self checkout for the very first time!
