Jennifer Lopez is one of those mega-stars who truly seems to be getting more glamorous and graceful as the years go on.

The singer, actress and mommy graces the April issue of InStyle magazine, clad in Chanel and flaunting gorgeous waves. She opened up to the mag, admitting that she—like everybody else in the world—gets lonely sometimes.

"Look, I don't love being alone," she says. "I don't. I can't beat myself up for that. What I have to do is figure out why I don't like it….But where I am now, what I've been through, there are no rules.  There are just lots of ways it can turn out instead of just one."

We love her optimistic view of the future. And we're guessing she gets a lot of that inspiration from her children. "Emme is obsessed with makeup," she says of her daughter. "She puts blush on her eyes, shadow on her face; it's very artistic. And she loves my shoes. She's been walking around in my heels ever since she was a year old."

Jennifer also talked about how she sees a change in the attitude toward aging in Hollywood. "The turning point was a couple years ago, when the September issue of women's magazines had cover girls that were all over 40—Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, me. It was hard not to be happy. That says something about our society."

And if you had even a shred of doubt that she's no longer Jenny from the block, she sets us all straight. "It's funny when people say ‘Jenny from the block isn't real' or ‘You've already done that.'  I keep doing it because that's who I am."
