The moving trailer for HBO's upcoming movie adaptation of The Normal Heart is here.

The recently released clip features costars Matt Bomer, Mark Ruffalo, Taylor Kitsch and Julia Roberts in the drama about the fight against HIV and AIDS in the 1980s.

Meanwhile, Roberts plays Dr. Emma Brookner, who unsuccessfully attempts to gain government funding for HIV/AIDS research in order to find a cure for the deadly virus.

The film's trailer is an emotional teaser for what's sure to be a powerful small-screen version of Larry Kramer's original 1985 off-Broadway play.

The Normal Heart, which was directed by Glee head honcho Ryan Murphy and also stars Jonathan Groff and Jim Parsons, premieres on HBO on Sunday, May 25.
