Can Teresa Giudice Still Film Real Housewives of New Jersey If She Gets House Arrest Instead of Jail?

Teresa Giudice is no ordinary housewife.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star pleaded guilty to fraud charges last Tuesday and will be sentenced this summer. Andy Cohen sat down with E! News correspondent Jesse Giddings during SXSW over the weekend, where the Bravo exec opened up about how Giudice's legal issues will affect the show.

"I don't know much about the situation. I certainly am thinking about kids right now," the Watch What Happens Live host said of Giudice's four daughters, Gia, 13, Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4. "We're shooting next season right now," Cohen, 45, continued, "so there's going to be a lot in there that's going to be quite dramatic and different than anything we've ever seen before."

If Giudice is placed on house arrest instead of going to jail, it's unclear if she'll be able to continue filming the show. "I'm gonna let her get through the sentencing and then we'll all talk," Cohen said.

Last week, the 41-year-old publicly "took responsibility for a series of mistakes" she made "several years ago." In a statement to E! News, Giudice added, "I am heartbroken that this is affecting my family—especially my four young daughters, who mean more to me than anything in the world."

Giudice's legal crisis consultant, Wendy Feldman, is preparing for the July 8 sentencing. "What we do now is we show you the person, not the crime," she told E! News last week. "It's up to the judge."
