Ricky Gervais (Fake) Cries After Being Named E!'s Hottie of the Week—Watch the Hilarious Clip!

Ricky Gervais has truly made it in Hollywood.

Sure, the funnyman has a number of awards under his belt, but he finally got the one that counts, you guys. Ricky Gervais was named E!'s Hottie of the Week!

"This is amazing," The Muppets Most Wanted star, who is crying at this point (not real tears, but whatever, it works) says as Terrence Jenkins crowns him and puts on his sash. "It means everything to me. I'm gonna retire after this."

Gervais then joked, "You're in luck that I have no pride at all, otherwise I'd look pretty stupid right now, wouldn't I?"

After the official E! News Twitter account asked for followers to send their suggestions for the #HottieOfTheWeek back in June, Gervais decided to have a little social media fun, and we couldn't help but commend the comedian on his silly behavior.

The star replied with the ravishing photo you see above and wrote, "Surely I'll win this week?" E! News tweeted back at the 52-year-old actor, "@rickygervais We haven't forgotten about you, Ricky. But we're gonna need an updated bikini pic #JustSayin."

That led to yet another super-attractive photo of Ricky being tweeted out, and, well, eight months later—he got what he always wanted.

"2 prime time Emmys, 3 Golden Globes, 7 Baftas, & now this... #HottieOfTheWeek," Gervais tweeted today.
