John Shearer/Invision/APOne of the best moments from last night's 2014 Oscar Awards—and there were tons believe you me!—was when host Ellen DeGeneres took up a collection (using Pharrell's famous Grammy's hat) to get payment for the Pizza delivery. She heckled Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, and even Lupita Nyong'o.
"Your stock just went up, you've got some money now Lupita," Ellen joked to the Prada-clad star, referring to the fact that she had just won Best Supporting Actress. So the 12 Years a Slave star dug into her Prada clutch and tossed what she had into the supersize cap: a tiny blue lip balm.
"Lupita's lip balm! That's worth something," Ellen quipped while pocketing the beauty essential for herself. So what brand does the star use? Clarins HydraQuench Moisture Repenishing lip balm.
It's no surprise that the star was carrying the $24 product. Just a few weeks ago she confessed that lip balm is the one thing she can't live without, saying: "When your lips are dry you can't think of anything else."
Luckily for Lupita, we're guessing she'll never be without lip balm again. Shortly after the funny exchange #lupitaslipbalm began trending on Twitter. So we're pretty sure that, along with the flood of flowers and congratulations sent her way this AM, a lifetime supply of lip balm was included as well.
Update: Lupita's Clarins lip balm of choice has already sold out in stores and in just two days! It is, however, still available on line—but we're guessing not for long.
