Jean-Claude Van Damme can't stop doing the splits!

Just over three months after his gravity-defying epic splits stunt for Volvo went viral online, filmmaker Linh Mai is taking the 53-year-old action star's impressive stunt to space!

In the new clip, still set to the music of Enya's haunting ballad "Only Time," Van Damme wears a space suit and helmet while floating high above the earth.

"I've had my ups and owns, my fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds," he says in the video. "That's what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you. What you seek is a body crafted to perfection. A pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits."

The camera then pans out to show Van Damme standing on two floating satellites. They spread apart as he falls into perfect splits before floating into space in the highly flexible position.

At the end, the message "One split for man, one giant leap for mankind" flashes across the screen.

Perhaps Van Damme's epic splits stunt in space trumps Chuck Norris' epic splits parody above two jets. Shortly after Van Damme released his original Volvo clip, Norris poked fun by sharing his own parody video in which he one-upped Van Damme by doing splits on two planes in the air (not for real, or course).

Van Damme's space stunt leaves us asking one question: where can his splits take him next?!
