George Lopez had a little too much to drink during a trip to Canada this week, it seems.
The 52-year-old comedian was arrested for being drunk in public last night at the Caesars Windsor Casino in Windsor, Ontario. No charges were filed and the comic was released.
Stephanie Moniz, the Provincial Constable of Ontario Provincial Police, confirms to E! News that Lopez was arrested at 10:49 p.m. ET Thursday evening at Caesars Windsor Resort & Casino in Ontario for being intoxicated in a public place. He was then turned over to the Windsor Police. According to Caesars' Public Relations, Lopez is still scheduled to perform his 9 p.m. ET show tonight at Caesars Windsor.
Additionally, the Windsor Police Service confirm that last night at approximately 11:25 p.m., officers received custody of a male from the Ontario Provincial Police Windsor Casino Enforcement Unit. The male was subsequently released with no charges. Due to the fact the male is not being charged with an offense, no further information will be released at this time.
While we're no exactly sure what Lopez was up to in the hours leading up to his arrest, a fan did snap a photo of Lopez lying on the ground in the middle of the casino before being taken into custody.
And it sure doesn't sound like Lopez is sweating the bust. He released a hilarious statement today to E! News, saying, "Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor."
