Time to brush up on those babysitting skills, because there might just be a job opening at the palace!
There were reports in January that Kate and Will were searching for a new nanny since George's previous caregiver, Jessie Webb, had reached the end of her contract. It seems the future king was getting along OK with just mum and dad for a while there, but with an upcoming royal tour to Australia and New Zealand this spring, it seems the Cambridge fam would like an extra hand to help out.
According to the Daily Mail, the royal family is consulting with elite childcare staffing agencies. One similar company, Nannies of St. James, has not been in correspondence with Kate and Will (per Kensington Palace), but is known for staffing elite nannies like the type they might be looking for.
Rosemary Newton, a parter at the company, explained why well-to-do English families are now wanting more educated and qualified childcare than ever, saying, "It's becoming more like America, with parents wanting their children coached for prep school and entrance exams and then wanting nannies to help academically with homework."
"Gone are the days of Mary Poppins," she lamented.
Hmm. Well, if anyone's going to have a magical childhood, it's going to be Prince George! And something tells us his mum and dad will surround the little heir with top-notch caregivers who are smart and super supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
