"Finally you can add 'helps delivers babies in living rooms' to my resume! It's been a miracle of a day...Auntie Katy aka Stylist Auntie," the 29-year-old pop star tweeted on Wednesday.
The "Dark Horse" singer didn't reveal the identity of the mother, but it is said to be her older sister Angela Hudson.
This exciting time for Perry comes on the heels of her surprising split with John Mayer, after E! News exclusively revealed on Monday that Perry broke up with Mayer within the last few days.
A source told E! News that Perry's upcoming world tour was a big issue for the former lovebirds. The insider says Perry was definitely putting her work first, but adds that it's unclear whether her upcoming tour was truly the final straw for the split.
Perry is booked solid from May until November after recently adding another leg of her tour, while Mayer is also scheduled for a worldwide tour from April to June.
There were also a few signs that may have been signaling trouble in paradise for the twosome. Mayer was noticeably absent from Perry's side on her recent trip to London and Milan.
