Gwyneth Paltrow is in on the joke, and guess what? Homegirl can totally laugh at herself!

The 41-year-old goop goddess poked fun at her (completely unwarranted) snobby reputation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "It's nice to be recognized for your work with an Oscar, but I don't let it define me," said the actress, who won the Best in Actress in a Leading Role Academy Award in 1996 for her Shakespeare in Love performance.

"[But] when I'm home with my kids," she deadpanned, "I'm still just Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow."

HA. Gwynnie wasn't the only star to make light of her work, though. June Squibb, whose Nebraska performance earned her a Best Supporting Actress nod this year, joked, "When I heard about my Oscar nomination, I started thinking about what I was going to wear, and I decided that I want a real slutty dress."

Hey, why not? There's also a very good chance that Ellen will be joking about her own image when she hosts the 2014 Oscars on Sunday. She should definitely bring her dancing talents to primetime, and from the looks of her Paul Feig-directed Academy Awards' trailer, she will be doing just that!

And she's ready! "I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time," Ellen, who hosted the show in 2007, said in a statement. "You know what they say—the third time's the charm."
