This panther kitten hasn't received an official name yet, so for now you can just refer to him as The Cutest Panther Kitten You Have Ever and Will Ever See. Or just Miracle Panther, for short.

Because the baby boy was discovered when he was just one-week old last month at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge. He was unresponsive, "super cold" and barely breathing. The kitten only weighed about two pounds.

"We want to give any panther kitten the best opportunity to survive in the wild," Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission vet Dr. Mark Cunningham said. "But clearly this kitten was in poor condition and almost certainly would have died without intervention."

The kitten was brought to an animal hospital in Naples where he was given 24-hour care. Soon, he stabilized and grew more and more every day. Eventually he was brought to the Lowry Park Zoo, a zoo that has rehabilitated a number of panthers in the past, where he remains under 24-hour care.

He is now "responsive and strong." Which is not only amazing because this little guy is, after all, the cutest panther kitten you will ever see, but also because there may be as few as 100 Florida panthers living in the wild in the area.

When the panther is ready, he'll move to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where he will live from there out, as he was abandoned too early in his life to learn any survival skills.
