Hollywood is mourning the loss of Harold Ramis.

The famous comedy filmmaker, who is arguably best known for directing Groundhog Day and CaddyShack, passed away today at the age of 69.

According to a statement, the beloved writer died from complications related to autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a condition that he had suffered from for the past four years.

"His creativity, compassion, intelligence, humor and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him," the statement added.

Celebs have been taking to Twitter today to pay tribute to the beloved Analyze This director, whose noteworthy writing credits include National Lampoon's Animal House, Stripes and Ghostbusters. Here's what the stars are saying:
