The highly anticipated remake has been in development since 2009 and will be based on based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic.
Josh Trank has been called to direct the film, and Simon Kinberg was hired to put the finishing touches on the script in November.
Fox's first installment of the Fantastic Four franchise resulted in two movies, released in 2005 and 2007. Jessica Alba Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd played the Marvel Comics heroes at the time.
The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on June 19, 2015.
