Lena Dunham wants to hop on the train from NYC to Washington, D.C.

During an interview with Grantland's B.S. Report, the Girls creator and star revealed her dream of hanging with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the Gladiators on ABC's Scandal. Are you listening, Shonda Rhimes?!

"Basically, my life's great passion is the idea of being a guest star on Scandal," Dunham says. "I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong."

And yes, we can already imagine Dunham's character throwing down an epic, "It's handled...kind of...sort of...not really, but whatever, it's fine."

And though she did go on to admit she's probably too young to play a senator, she says, "playing a really evil character, it would be really fun."

Alas, it doesn't seem like Dunham's (and now our) dream of guesting on Scandal will happen anytime soon, as Girls is more popular and successful than ever. Oh yeah, and on a different network.

"I don't think I'm technically allowed to," Dunham says of appearing on Rhimes' political drama.

This isn't the first time Dunham has made her love of Scandal known to the world.

At the 2013 Emmys, Claire Danes revealed that the Girls star actually got her into the show when she interview-bombed Ryan Seacrest's red carpet chat with Dunham.

"You told me to get on that jam, to get on that Scandal jam because you were visiting when I just had Cyrus," the Homeland star explained. "You were like, ‘You're going to be nursing and you need to watch this amazing show.'"

Scandal returns Thursday, Feb. 27, on ABC. Girls airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on HBO.
