American freestyle skier David Wise didn't get to share his gold medal performance with his adorable daughter, Nayeli. But the 23-year-old did get to see her priceless reaction to her dad's men's halfpipe skiing win.

The first-time Olympian, who was joined by his wife Alexandra in Sochi, saw his little girl's glee during Today on Wednesday.

The toddler can be seen jumping up and down back home in Reno, Wise's hometown. A family member urges Nayeli to kiss the TV screen after seeing him appear, which she happily does.

Wise revealed that his two-year-old is now able to identify him and his teammates on TV, after she originally thought "all skiers are me." The proud papa also gushed that his daughter is "already making turns by herself" on her skis.

The skier captured the first Olympic freestyle skiing halfpipe gold medal on Tuesday.

Shortly after his winning run, he could see his wife holding up a giant photo of Nayeli.

"Almost the first thing I saw when I finished my first run was this little face smiling back to me," he told Matt Lauer. "I could just feel her spirit cheering for me, and my family there supporting me."

Thanks to this heartwarming video, we can see that Nayeli was indeed rooting for her daddy.

As the flakes fly, so does David Wise on his way to the first Olympic freestyle skiing halfpipe gold at the 2014 Sochi Games.
