InstagramNicole Richie is an unabashed Britney Spears fan, so it's not too surprising that she freaked out when the singer dedicated "Freak Show" to her during Tuesday's concert at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood. The fashion designer shared two pictures from the pop star's Piece of Me show on Instagram and wrote, "#goodbye."
After joining her pop idol on stage, the former Simple Life star was given a tee with Spears' image on it.
Spears, who recently went brunette, praised Richie on Twitter. "Can we all give a round of applause to @NicoleRichie for playing along in the show tonight? U looked hot crawling on all fours," she wrote.
The 32-year-old "Perfume" singer then tweeted Richie directly, writing, "Thanks for dancing tonight!"
Spears superfan Richie isn't the first celebrity to get special treatment from the pop icon during "Freak Show," however. Mario Lopez and Lance Bass were seduced on stage in 2013, and the "Work Bitch" singer's boyfriend David Lucado was singled out during a performance in early January 2014.
In June 2011, Richie and a pal had a spontaneous "dance off" to Spears' "I'm a Slave 4 U." Sharing the video on YouTube, she wrote, "In honor of my queen, @BritneySpears - Can't wait to dance tonight!"
