What's that saying? If it ain't broke, don't make new doughnut flavors! Or something like that.

Krispy Kreme debuted two new doughnut flavors on Monday, but we can't fathom why they would want to offer anything else than their perfect original glazed doughnut. Although we will accept the chocolate glazed ones as well. That's all you need, Krispy Kreme! Just two doughnut flavors. But sure, make fancy new ones. That's your prerogative.

For those who are against doughnut purity, you can now purchase a Mocha Kreme doughnut or a Caramel Coffee Kreme doughnut. What are those? Glad you asked.

We'd describe the new doughnuts to you, but Krispy Kreme's website offer up better summaries of their new flavors, using buzzwords like "drizzle," "moist," and "decadent." Someone in marketing spent months, maybe even years, researching the perfect way to describe these doughnuts, so we'll just show you how Krispy Kremes is presenting the new flavors:

Mocha Kreme Doughnut: A moist yeast doughnut filled with a tasty blend of chocolate and coffee flavors, topped with mocha icing, a milk chocolate swirl and decorated with milk chocolate icing.

(We stopped reading after "moist yeast." Anyone else?)

Caramel Coffee Kreme Doughnut: A decadent glazed treat topped with smooth caramel and coffee flavored icing, a mocha drizzle and dollop of coffee Kreme.

(When we were younger, our donuts did not come with drizzles or dollops! What's happening to this world?)

But hey, if these new doughnuts sound good to you, they are available for a limited time (through March 30) at your local Krispy Kreme location.

Original Krispy Kreme doughnut, you were always, and will always be, good enough for us.

Be honest. Do these new doughnuts sound good to you?
